Well, today Linda had to relocate out of her room for a few hours as they worked on some plumbing issues. Jim walked back in to her room to find a bit of flooding on the floor. After everything was taken care of, she was able to get back to her big room in the corner, which was good because she has plenty of her things in the space.

Nancy brought Linda a prayer shawl that she loves so much. She had us stop and get a new crochet hook and some new yarn so she can make another one. She already had it started by the time we left to get her a turkey burger and some cheesecake for dinner. Hopefully, we can find something she likes the taste of to eat besides Sprite Zero.

Love and Blessings,
Kimberly

  1. Linda, you are staying so upbeat which is what you have to do with this dreadful disease. You are certainly due to feel so down. Chemo will take you as close to death as you will ever be and then bring you back. It is so hard to take- I will never forget when I was peeing red! You get so tired of the blood and everything else. And -if there is a minor cancer, that would be what I had compared to what you are going thru! I wish there was something I could do for you or get you to help you pass the time. I am sure your family has probably thought of everything. Isn't it wonderful to have such a great family! They are such a wonderful help and they love you so much. We never know why God chooses to let some people such as your self suffer so much in life. I tend to believe we are doing someone's (or many people's) purgatory on earth. Don't know why-no rhyme or reason-just God's will. Why some people like you, have so much suffering is not known but they always say God doesn't give you more than you can handle--but wow! how much more can you handle. I know you have an Angel with her arms wrapped around you as you go thru this suffering and I pray that this will all soon be over for you and you can get back your strength so you can enjoy playing with your grandkids again. I am so glad they are able to visit with you because they do need to see that you are there for them. You just continue to stay brave and if there is anything that I can send you or have Nancy bring to you please let me know. I just try to pray and pray! Take care and know that there are many many people out here who love you and want you to get better quick! (((Hugs)) Sue David

  2. Linda, thinking of you this morning hoping and praying you are feeling better! --"God please drop in on Linda today and help her through this, ease her pain and her mind and guide the doctors/nurses treating her during this difficult time. Give them the gift of patience, compassion, and knowledge. We love her and care for her, but most of all thank you God for what you've done..Amen"
I love you Linda. Keep looking forward. You have been so brave and you are my hero!!

  3. Linda, Hang in there - it will get better. When do you have your BMB? Hopefully this round of chemo will have done what it was to do. I know exactly where you are - been there. Now I am at +97 and feeling great! Say your prayers, lean on your family and God for strength and rest rest rest. I cannot wait for you to begin the uphill climb back to norms. Just remember there is a big light at the end of the tunnel - now we just have to get there. God is Good. Hugs, Lori
